Did you ever wonder if you had the next big idea for a business? The 18th annual Straight Talk will be held Saturday.
It is designed by the Small Business Administration as a one stop shop for all your small business needs. It's for new business ideas or for small businesses that want to expand. Entrepreneurs will learn about business basics, credit, marketing, taxes and more.
Frank Sciortino is the district director for the SBA. He says this is the place to go to meet all the players to get your business off the ground. "It's just a great venue for anyone thinking of going into business or expanding their existing business because it gives them the opportunity, in one place in four hours, to meet and hear everyone in Western New York who does anything to help small business."
Other business owners who've had success with Straight Talk will also be on hand. Hundreds of people took part last year. The event also includes eight follow up seminars that are held at Medaille College beginning in February.
The event will be held on Saturday at the Buffalo Niagara Convention Center from 8am to 12:30pm. You can register online at www.wnystraighttalk.org or find a link at www.wkbw.com. You can also call 551-4301 for more information.
It's $20 if you are pre-registered or $25 at the door.
