Houston, TX (WKBW) - Texas Governor Rick Perry is launching an aggressive campaign to take business away from New York State and bring them to Texas. He plans to visit New York next week.

Perry is slamming New York's new ad campaign launched by Governor Cuomo called the "New" New York. Those ads say that New York has become a more business friendly state. Perry disagrees.

New York ranks dead last in sales-tax climate. Texas breaks the top ten. Texas has no personal income tax while New York taxes range from four to nearly nine percent.

These ads are already running on the radio. Television ads will hit the New York market within the next few days.

Governor Perry is not only targeting New York. He has also traveled to Illinois and California earlier this year. According to California's governor, Perry's trip had zero impact. There are some who say this visit may help New York by highlighting a need for change across the state to keep companies and jobs in the area.!
