State Police Members of Clarence, Alden, Newstead and Warsaw conducted a roving Driving While Intoxicated detail in Erie, Genesee and Wyoming County. The detail yielded 2 arrests for Driving While Intoxicated, an arrest for Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 7th and Unlawful Possession of Marijuana along with 32 Vehicle and Traffic Citations. Arrested were the following:
Tyler C. Herold, 20, of Pavilion, for Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 7th and Unlawful Possession of Marijuana. Herold was stopped on Broadway Rd. in the Village of Alden for not wearing a seat belt. Subsequent investigation revealed that he was in possession of a small amount of marijuana and a small baggie of white powder awaiting testing to determine its contents. Herold was released with an appearance ticket to appear in the Village of Alden Court at a later date.
Cuyler C. Gentile, 24, of Leroy was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated. Gentile was stopped for failing to keep right while traveling on ST-33 in the Town of Pembroke. Investigation at the scene revealed that he was intoxicated. He was processed at SP Batavia where he recorded a .14% BAC. He was released to appear in the Town of Pembroke at a later date.
Randall E. Wahl, 24, of North Java was arrested for Felony Driving While Intoxicated and Unlawful Fleeing of a Police Officer 3rd. Wahl was operating a 3 wheel ATV on Perry Rd. in the Town of Sheldon when he failed to stop for Troopers. He was subsequently taken into custody and processed at SP Warsaw where he recorded a .12% BAC. He was charged with Felony Driving While Intoxicated due to the fact he had been convicted of Driving While Intoxicated within the past 10 years. Wahl was also issued numerous Vehicle and Traffic Law citations. He was arraigned before the Town of Warsaw Justice Kennedy and released to appear on 8/15/11.
