BUFFALO, NY (WKBW) - The Buffalo Police Department has suspended two of its officers, without pay, following an assault at Molly's Pub that left a man with a severe brain injury.

Bill Sager, 28, remains in critical condition at ECMC. He has been unconscious since the May 11 incident.

Jeff Basil, the manager of Molly's Pub, has been arrested and charged in connection with the case. He pleaded not guilty at his arraignment over the weekend.

Officers Robert Eloff and Adam O'Shei were working as security guards at Molly's at the time of the attack. They are being investigated by Internal Affairs, FBI and Erie County District Attorney.
