TONAWANDA, NY (WKBW) - The Town of Tonawanda Police have charged six individuals with the pressurized bottle incident that placed Ken-Ton Schools on lock-down last week.
Exploding bottle devices were found at Brighton Park Golf Course and at Ken-Ton School District owned Green Acres Building early last week.
According to police, the individuals thought the bottles left were duds, and they re-activated the following morning causing loud explosions. The effect is produced by using common household materials and chemicals that produce a loud explosion, though cause little damage.
Police and the Erie County District Attorney's office have charged the individuals with two counts of Trespass and one count of Disorderly Conduct. Police say all participants involved cooperated fully with the investigation.
