Orchard Park, N.Y. (WKBW) The Buffalo Bills could soon be getting the rock star treatment.
CBS Sports is reporting Jon Bon Jovi is interested in buying the team.
The Bills are not currently on the market, but it has been reported that Bon Jovi, the award winning rock star from New Jersey has spent time in the Queen City recently, getting to know the area and even talking with politicians.
The CBS report, written by Jason La Canfora sites Rogers Communications Group in Toronto as a prime future owner for the franchise, as they've maintained a close working relationship with the Bills and current owner Ralph Wilson over the years.
The article also indicated that many people are interested in buying the franchise if and when it would ever go on the market.
Erie County Executive Mark Poloncarz responded to the reports on Twitter Sunday evening saying in part, "For the record, there are many interested in purchasing the Bills though I do not expect Mr. Wilson to sell them during his lifetime."
The Buffalo Bills franchise released a statement, saying "Pro Football Hall of Fame member Ralph C. Wilson, Jr. is the founder and owner of the Buffalo Bills franchise. The organization does not respond to reports of the interest other parties may have in ownership of the franchise or of speculation concerning various groups that may have such interest."
