BUFFALO, NY (WKBW)- 36-year-old Antwan Lindsay will now spend the next 3-6 years in prison for his role in holding up several local banks from November of 2010 to February 2011. Lindsay faced up to 28 years in prison for robbing 4 banks in Buffalo and Amherst. Investigators say he made off with close to $20,000. In August, Lindsay pled guilty to several counts of robbery and grand larceny. Thursday in court, he stated he had 'made a mistake' and asked for forgiveness.
"Mr. Lindsay was not the mastermind. He was the one they convinced to go into the banks, but not the one behind the whole plan," said Defense Attorney Jeffrey Harrington.
Lindsay also received 3-6 years in jail for his grand larceny guilty plea, which will run concurrent with his other sentence.
