Buffalo, NY (WKBW)- 22-year-old Greyler Williams will now spend the next 7 years behind bars for critically injuring a teen inside a Bickford Avenue home in Buffalo. Police say Williams and another man were smoking Marijuana in a back bedroom, passing a handgun around when it went off. The bullet pierced through a wall and struck 13-year-old Jalisa Goodman in the neck. Goodman was talking on the telephone in another room when she was struck.

"I apologize to the family, to (Jalisa's) mother, and sister for putting them in this position," said Williams. "I can't do much or say much, but I do apologize."

Goodman's family says Jalisa is still recovering from her injuries at a rehabilitation center and cannot speak or walk.

"I don't want to have to visit her at a rehab facility for the rest of her life," said Tiera Mack, Jalisa's Sister. "She's younger than me. She should be out enjoying herself. She had just started high school. She didn't really get to enjoy her freshman year."
