Diane Sawyer takes the critical questions about the military intervention in Libya to the Secretary of State Hillary Clinton. They will discuss why the United States intervened in Libya, the implications that a third conflict overseas will have on the military, as well as what the exit strategy is for U.S. involvement. This marks Clinton’s first interview since the United States and its allies launched air strikes in Libya on Saturday to stop Moammar Gadhafi's attacks on opposition strongholds and enforce a U.N.-backed no-fly zone.
The interview will air Tuesday, March 22 on “World News with Diane Sawyer,” which will be broadcast from Washington D.C., and will continue later that night on “Nightline.” Portions of the interview will also be featured across ABC News broadcasts and platforms including ABCNews.com, ABC News Radio, ABC NewsOne, and ABC News NOW.
World News with Diane Sawyer” airs at 6:30 p.m. on WKBW Channel 7 and nationally on the ABC Television Network. Jon Banner is the executive producer of the broadcast.
