Saturday Shooting Victim At MLK Park Dies

BUFFALO, N.Y. ( WKBW / release ) Buffalo police confirm that the shooting incident in Martin Luther King Jr. Park Saturday night has turned deadly. The news of this tragedy broke as a "peace picnic" kicked off at the MLK site of the shooting, presented by Ellicott District Councilman Rev. Darius Pridgen.

Around 8:30pm police believe a lone gunman on foot fired at several people gathered in the vicinity of shelter #4 in the park, striking five individuals.

All five victims were rushed to the Erie County Medical Center.

One of the victims has died as a result of the injuries he sustained in the shooting incident.

The victim is identified as Marquay T. Lee, 26 years old, of Buffalo, who was pronounced dead late last night, at the hospital.
