BUFFALO, NY (WKBW) - Buffalo Sabres forward Tim Kennedy cleared waivers Tuesday, and Sabres plan to buyout the 24-year-old's contract.
Kennedy won $1 million in arbitration this off-season after scoring 10 goals and 16 assists last season. The team plans to buyout Kennedy's contract for $333,333 over the next two years.
Buffalo Sabres General Manager Darcy Regier addressed the situation at press conference Tuesday afternoon.
The South Buffalo native was picked-up by the Sabres in 2005 from the Washington Capitals, who drafted him in the 6th round of that year's draft.
