(Buffalo, N.Y.) Several members of the Buffalo Sabres, along with owner Terry Pegula, spent the day hand-delivering season tickets to fans and sponsors.

For many fans, it was a complete surprise to find star players like Pominville, Miller, and Gerby on their doorsteps.

The Buffalo Sabres randomly selected the fans in both the Buffalo area and across the border in Canada.

"If I knew it was going to be like this, I would have dressed up," says season ticket holder Susan Stevens from Buffalo.

Jason Pominville and newly acquired Ville Leino handed Susan an envelope containing her tickets.

The Sabres say the effort was a way to thank fans and let them know how important they are to the hockey team.
