SWAT Responds to Buffalo Standoff, Police Continue to Investigate

Buffalo, N.Y. (WKBW-TV) Buffalo Police officials say officers responded to a call of a man with a gun just after 4 p.m. at a home along Riverside Avenue.

At approximately 4:45pm the SWAT unit was called to the scene as well. Police say they were notified that other individuals might be in the residence.

Just after 6:30 p.m. SWAT entered the residence and after a searching the home found no one inside.

SWAT used tear gas to enter the residence. At this point Buffalo Police are trying to determine if there was a suspected gunman at all, and if so, where he may be at this hour.
