LANCASTER, N.Y. (WKBW) - Western New York restauranteur Russell Salvatore has asked the Lancaster Town Board to approve a proposal allowing him to be buried in a mausoleum outside his restaurant on Transit Road.
The mausoleum would be located in the Russel J. Salvatore Patriots and Heroes Park outside the restaurant.
The park already includes a Flight 3407 memorial, and replicas of the World Trade Center's Twin Towers.
80-year-old Salvatore tells Eyewitness News he enjoys doing things for the community and wants to be remember for everything he does.
The Lancaster Town Board will vote on the measure in the coming weeks.
