West Seneca, N.Y. (WKBW) Robert Styn, 61 pleaded not guilty to two DWI charges in West Seneca Town Court on Tuesday.

Styn was arrested for allegedly driving drunk when he and 33-year-old Daniel McParlane were involved in a two-car crash on Indian Church Road in West Seneca back on November 27th.

McParlane, who was killed in that crash, was an Erie County Sheriff's Deputy and also the Chairman of the West Seneca Democratic Committee.

As the investigation of the crash continues, it is possible that Styn could potentially face higher charges.

"The only two charges confronting my client are the DWI and that's the case that we're gonna try," said Styn's attorney, James Vallone.

Styn was released on his own recognizance despite the prosecution's request for a $5000 bail to be set.

Styn's attorney says his client has been employed for around 30 years at Delevan and he also served as a volunteer fire fighter in West Seneca.

Styn will appear back in court next month.
