For the first time in its 10-year history, Buffalo-based Roar Logistics Inc. will be opening a West Coast office.

Robert Rich III, Roar president, confirmed his company has opened its fourth location, this one in the Los Angeles suburb of Temecula. The office, which will be overseen logistics industry veteran Marc Sandoval, will handle logistical needs covering rail, ocean, air and road options.

The California office is considered a key, strategic location for the firm.

"We believe that this office will help us extend our reach into Mexico and position us in proximity to some of the most active ports in America," Rich said.

Roar also has offices in Atlanta and Peoria. The company has 50 employees nationwide.

Rich said other expansions may also be in the works.

"The company has no intentions of slowing down," Rich said. "We are currently looking into other markets and countries for further growth and expansion."
