LOCKPORT, N.Y. (WKBW) - Friday's relentless rain caved in roads, looded out basements and cars, and damaged businesses in Lockport.s
"I ran through the puddles almost knee high and I was out for about 2 hours and it was all gone," said Absalom Crowe, of Lockport.
While most of the water has receded, there is still plenty of clean-up work to be done.
Wide Waters, an eatery on Market Street, had a "closed until further notice" sign on their door. The entire business was flooded and the owner lost thousands of dollars worth of food.
The Mayor of Lockport says damage to the area is in the process of being accessed. The findings will be turned in to Governor Cuomo's office to determine if a "State of Emergency" should be declared.
