Gowanda, NY (WKBW) Drew Carrero, the Gowanda teen who fell over 300 feet into the Zoar Valley gorge last november has found a way to repay his rescuers. Carriero and his family held a fundraiser which brought in over $9000 dollars. Tuesday, Carriero presented the money to the Gowanda Fire Department, the Erie County Sheriff's Office's Aviation Unit and the State Police Special Operations Unit, the three primary agencies that performed the difficult rescue. The money will go directly towards new rescue equipment that will be used in rescue operations in Zoar Valley.
