BUFFALO (WKBW) The Toronto group of Bon Jovi, Larry Tenenbaum, and the Rogers family has made it to the final round in the bidding process for the Buffalo Bills, according to John Kryk of the Toronto Sun.
Kryk says the group had to change their original bid, which was rejected by investment bank Morgan Stanley based on price and lack of assurances against relocation. The new one, according to Kryk, is more acceptable, opening the door for the group to be part of presentation with the Bills trust on Tuesday in Manhattan.
And though bills fans don't have an actual say in the process, they are making sure their voice is heard.
The Bills Fan Thunder group currently have over 12 thousand signatures on a petition to keep the team here.
Earlier this month, signs popped up on the 33 in favor of Terry and Kim Pegula and their reported high bid on the team. Now a social media movement has started with a website and twitter account dedicated to "In Terry We Trust."
The trust is expected to meet with all the finalists in the bidding process before moving forward with the sale.
