BUFFALO, N.Y. (WKBW )- A local recovered heroin addict says Hispanic United's methadone clinic is needed on the Westside.
Andres Garcia first became hooked on heroin at the age of 14 when he was living in Puerto Rico.
He then moved to Buffalo, where he would spend his days stealing money from stores to buy the dru.g
Eventually at the age of 21, he began receiving methadone at Sisters Hospital in the 70's. He says that's when his life began to turn around.
Garcia believes others, after being treated at the clinic that will open next month on the Westside, will have similar success.
