BUFFALO, NY (WKBW) - The still undecided race for New York's 60th Senate District seat is one step closer to being resolved.
Representatives from both sides met in a State Supreme Courtroom in Niagara Falls Friday morning before Justice Frank Caruso. The two sides exchanged and filed paperwork agreeing that beginning Tuesday, November 16, the process of scanning unobjected ballots in Erie County will commence.
The same process will begin for Niagara County on Wednesday, November 17.
The process is expected to take several days to complete, and no date has yet been set to inspect the objected and affidavit ballots.
As it stands currently, Mark Grisanti on the Republican line leads Democrat incumbent Antoine Thompson by a few hundred votes.
