BUFFALO, NY - The World Health Organization and EPA have identified Radon Gas as the leading cause of lung cancer for non-smokers. To address the severity of this epidemic October 17-24 is Radon Awareness Week.
Local, state and national health agencies are urging the media to write articles about this growing health concern. Radon is a problem in nearly 20 percent of the homes in many areas of the United States and claimed the lives of approximately 20,000 Americans in 2009.
By participating in National Radon Awareness Week, you can help reduce the number of Radon-induced fatalities this year.
