BUFFALO, NY (WKBW) - A suspect in the quadruple homicide that happened outside the City Grill on August 14 is in Buffalo Police custody, officially charged with four counts of 2nd degree murder for his alleged role in the shootings on Main Street.

Riccardo McCray was taken into police custody shortly after 2:00 p.m. at a local media outlet, accompanied by a local community activist and his attorney reportedly because he feared for his own safety.

Earlier Wednesday, Chief of Police Dennis Richards told reporters that McCray is the primary person of interest in the shooting incident that happened outside the City Grill on August 14.

Police say McCray has not confessed to the shooting that killed four and injured four others.

He is currently being held in the Erie County Holding Center, and is expected to be arraigned on Thursday.
