Thousands of New Yorkers, including more than 600 from Western New York are pouring into Capitol Park in Albany to rally for repeal of the NY SAFE Act.

Busses filled with gun rights activists arrived around 9:30 a.m. to begin lobbying.

Their goal today is to talk to every single assembly-person or state senator, whether they voted for or against the law.

Most lawmakers agreed to meet with protesters.

"I am hoping that this act gets repealed completely and more legislation gets introduced that protect the citizens of New York," said William Chapman of Alden. "This is not about guns."

I think this is the biggest gathering I've seen since I've started coming here," said Stephen Aldstadt of SCOPE. "So many people across the state are angry and we're here to let the legislators know."

People are piling in by the minute for what's expected to be a massive rally. Stay with Eyewitness News for the latest.
