BUFFALO, NY (WKBW) - Erie County Executive Chris Collins is expected to release his proposed budget for next year on Friday.

That budget contains some major cuts to certain cultural institutions throughout Erie County. These cuts could put places like Alleyway Theatre in Buffalo and events like Shakespeare in the Park in jeopardy.

"We are not sacrificing anything. These smaller culturals will need to make up this loss in other ways, from either other foundations or ask for other government support from their towns," said Collins.

Major cultural institutions like the Albright-Knox and the Buffalo Zoo would retain county funding.
