Power Drives Inc. has sold its electrical control panel business division to Allied Circuits LLC.

Terms were not disclosed.

Allied Circuits, founded in 1987, is a contract manufacturer of domestic and international code compliant electrical power panels and control systems for equipment manufacturers worldwide.

Allied employs electrical design engineers, manufacturing engineers and experienced panel builders, many with more than 15 years of application experience.

"The division is their electrical control panel assembly," said Chris Aquiline of Allied Circuits. "That's our core business. We purchased it, and rolled it right into ours."

Aquiline said two Power Drives staff will be joining his 40-person company at his 22 James E Casey Drive site. Allied's customers, he said, are from a range of industries that include oil and gas, compressed air,
pharmaceuticals and areospace, to name a few. Power Drives designs and distributes hydraulic, pneumatic and electromechanical components for fluid conveyance, motion control and power transmission applications worldwide.

They also provide custom-engineered hose and tube assemblies for original equipment manufacturers, and has its own patented, proprietary line of diesel warming systems for the locomotive market called Powerhouse.
