BOSTON, N.Y. (WKBW) Potholes are a common problem, especially around this time of year in Western New York. On Route 219, they are a mess.
“I drive an older car and I have to drive out to Cheektowaga every day on the 219,” said Christie Stevens. “The potholes are so bad…and it’s kind of scary driving in the winter when there’s so many.”
A pothole on Route 219 was the cause of a semi roll-over this morning around 8AM, a Safety Manager for Ward Trucking Company tells Eyewitness News.
“The pothole caused his tractor to pull to the right on the shoulder where there was ice and snow,” said Jeff Kovacik.
The Department of Transportation says they are working as hard as they can to patch the potholes, but if you see one, report it to 1-800-POTHOLE.
