The 4th Annual Labatt Blue Buffalo Pond Hockey Tournament kicks off Friday, Feb. 11. Over 700 players from 124 teams will take to the ice over the next three days. Below is a schedule of this weekend’s events you may be interested in.
Labatt Blue Buffalo Pond Hockey Tournament Schedule of Events*
10 a.m.: Labatt Blue’s Brett Carlsen and City of Buffalo ice crews perform the last official “ice check” to determine depth for the weekend tournament
11 a.m. – 5 p.m.: Set up begins for the fourth annual Labatt Blue Buffalo Pond Hockey Tournament; Watch as city ice crews battle freezing cold temps to get the rinks in top shape for the tournament. Call to schedule interviews
12 p.m.: Player check-in begins
12:45 p.m.- 5 p.m.: Tournament play; Stop down to interview players, tournament organizers and Labatt Blue staff

8 a.m. – 5 p.m.: Tournament play continues
12:15 p.m.: Ford Explorer Shootout. Ten contestants will take to the ice to shoot a puck for a chance to win a brand new 2011 Ford Explorer.
2 p.m. – 6 p.m.: The Party Squad band plays
