Police Searching For Doctor

LAKEVIEW, N.Y. ( WKBW ) Police, ambulances, and officials left the home of Dr. Timothy Jorden on West Arnold Drive in Lakeview. He was identified as a person of interest in the fatal shooting of a 33 year old woman outside the DK Miller building at ECMC Wednesday.

Buffalo Police telling Eyewitness News that local law enforcement officers continue to search for him in connection with the shooting death of a woman at the Erie County Medical Center early Wednesday morning.

Police are looking for Dr. Timothy V. Jorden, 49 years old, of Lakeview, NY.

The victim, identified as Jacqueline Wisniewski, 33 years old, was shot at around 8:00 am at the David K. Miller building on the Erie County Medical Center grounds, 462 Grider Street in Buffalo.

"The hospital had been thoroughly searched, and police continue checking possible locations where the person of interest may have fled to, including a home in Lakeview, NY. The doctor is considered to be armed and dangerous," said Dennis J. Richards, chief of Detectives.

Police continue looking for the person of interest, who has been described as having lost weight in the recent past, and may have facial hair.

Channel 7's Kendra Eaglin reports that two ambulances arrived at the residence Wednesday evening, but left shortly after 8:30p.m. along with other law enforcement officials, after searching the home and surrounding area.

Officials say 49 year old Dr. Timothy Jorden is 6' 2", approximately 250 pounds.

Anyone with information regarding his whereabouts is asked to call 9-1-1.

Police say he could be armed and dangerous.

The search for the gunman began shortly after 8a.m. when the 33 year old woman was fatally shot. The hospital and two area schools went into lockdown mode for several hours. The hospital re-opened to the public shortly after 1p.m.
