BUFFALO, NY (WKBW) - A birthday celebration ended in a triple shooting Wednesday night in Buffalo.

A group of about ten people were gathering at a home on Freund Street off Genesee and went outside to get some fresh air, said Tajah Ross who was at the party.

"We were not outside for even five minutes," Ross said. "I heard more than like ten shots."

Others report hearing as many as 15 shots. Ross said the gunman was on foot and fled the scene.

Buffalo police said one of the victims, a male in his early 20's, is in critical condition at Erie County Medical Center.

A 17-year-old girl and a man in his 30's were also shot but their injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.

"The Violent Crime Impact Team and Homicide Squad are canvassing the neighborhood and attempting to determine exactly what happened," said Dennis Richards, chief of detectives.
