Police Investigate Armed Robbery in East Aurora

March 20, 2014 Updated Mar 20, 2014 at 4:57 PM EDT

EAST AURORA, N.Y. (WKBW) - Police in East Aurora are investigating an armed robbery happening at the Sunoco Service Station on Main Street early Thursday morning.

Police say around 2:30 a.m., a man entered the gas station, displayed a silver-plated handgun, and demanded cash. Police say the man then forced the store clerk to out the cash into a nylon camouflauge-colored drawstring bag. The suspect then left on foot.

Police are describing the suspect as a white male around 5-foot-8 tall and 150 pounds.

Police say he was wearing black pants and a pull over hooded sweatshirt.

Police also say the suspect had a black ski mask on, covering his nose and mouth.
