Police Find 40 Dead Animals in Maryland Home

According to police in Maryland, 40 dead animals were found inside a home in Columbia on Tuesday.

A news release issued by Howard County Police says: "officers discovered 40 dead animals and four live animals in poor condition" at the residence.

The dead animals included birds, rabbits, cats a guinea pig a hermit crab and a snake, according to the Howard County Police news release. The occupant of the home has not been located, and no charges have yet been filed, according to police.
