Town of Tonawanda, NY (WKBW) - New information is coming in about the man that left much of the Town of Tonawanda under lockdown on Monday.

First responders say Joseph Hollywood planned to take on police. First responders found 60-year-old Hollywood dead in the corner of his basement, lying on the floor with an oxygen tank and a long gun.

Investigators believe Hollywood positioned himself to shoot at officers who came into his house, which he allegedly set ablaze, on Fries Road.

An autopsy, completed on Tuesday, shows Hollywood died from smoke inhalation.

Police also tell Eyewitness News that investigators found more guns on Hollywood's property. Those weapons will be destroyed.

Officers have also started the process of emergency demolition on what remains of Hollywood's home.

Investigators will remain on the scene for the next few days.
