Police Bust Up Camp Street Gang

(Buffalo, N.Y} The hunt for members of Buffalo's notorious 'Camp Street Gang' began just before 6am.

Two hundred and fifty law enforcement officers from the DEA, FBI, Buffalo Police, and numerous local police agencies, fanned out across the area to execute 17 search warrants.

Police say the 'Camp Street Gang' was extremely violent and was suspected of being involved with several shootings and homicides.

Authorities say they were also running a major drug distribution network which moved 75 kilograms of cocaine into the Buffalo area.

Three indictments were returned from a Federal Grand Jury charging 10 people with various narcotics trafficking charges including conspiracy and distribution.

The conspiracy charge carries a 10-year minimum prison sentence.

Police are still looking for two members of the 'Camp Street Gang' :

-28-year old Tramell McGee
-27-year old Nikita Burt.

Police arrested 10 people during Tuesday morning's raids.

The suspects are currently being held in custody after a Federal Judge ruled they should be detained.
