BUFFALO, NY (WKBW) -- Pitt Petri, Jr. is thumbing through 88 years of memories looking at old magazine ads with items his father sold when he opened Pitt Petri on Delaware Avenue.

Now, the high-end gift shop is closing up shop.

"We will miss all of our friends. Our sales people are like family to us. I've been doing this all my life. It's a wrench," said Petri.

Customer Lucy Tretiak-Caruso has been shopping at the store for years and stopped by to pick up one last item.

"Everything I own is from here," she said. "I'll miss it."

The store, known for selling expensive china, stemware and flatware, is having a 50 percent off liquidation sale and will be closed by the end of the month.
