A local food supplier is cooking up new business after a deal with 7-Eleven has ended. Pine Hill Fresh Foods, which got its start as Pine Hill Coffee Service, was the wholesale food service supplier for area 7-Eleven stores. But company officials say 7-Eleven is now using out of state suppliers so the local company is setting its sights on enhanced product line offerings for universities, office buildings and more. The company is expanding at a former Jubilee store on Lake Avenue in Hamburg and expects to increase production capabilities by 400%.

Business First analyzed local data from the U.S. Census Bureau. Researchers collected statistics for all 54 Western New York cities and towns with populations above 5,000. Business First wanted to know which areas have the largest population of young adults, aged 18 to 34. College town Alfred, in Allegany County, tops the list. Its population is about 5,200. 75% of people are in the young adult age group. Here's a look at the top areas for young adults:
1. Alfred
2. Pomfret, home to SUNY Fredonia
3. Allegany
4. Attica
5. Collins
