BUFFALO, NY (WKBW) - Check out our photo gallery from Saturday's Puerto Rican Day Parade.

The event kicked off at 1p.m. from Niagara Square with floats, politicians, bands, and members of the Western New York Hispanic community celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month.

A party in the park followed in LaSalle Park at the foot of Porter Avenue.

Channel 7's Al Leight drove the Eyewitness News LIVE EYE truck to show WKBW's support for Hispanic Heritage Month.

Channel 7 presents "El Barrio" with host Ralph Hernandez once a month at 5:30a.m. discussing issues of interest to the Hispanic community.

New in 2010 is the launch of Hispanic Heritage Month in Buffalo and Erie County. It will officially kick-off at the Buffalo & Erie County Library, 1 Lafayette Square in downtown Buffalo on Wednesday, September 15th beginning at noon.
