A Perry man was arrested by the Environemental Conservation Police for illegally possessing a Burmese Python.
Police say 39-year-old Darrel Alan Boyd was arrested Wednesday following an investigation into the illegal possession. Burmese Pythons are said to be dangerous constrictor snake.
Boyd was arrested for Section 11-0512 of the New York State Environmental Conservation Law. He was issued a ticket and will appear in the Village of Perry Court on May 7th.
The snake was safely removed from Boyd's residence and secured by the NYSDEC Bureau of Wildlife, pending disposition of the case.
