BUFFALO, NY (WKBW)- Some feathery tenants at the top of the Stater Towers received some big attention Monday. Four Peregrine Falcon chicks, two boys and two girls, have received tracking bands by DEC biologists. Biologists with the Department of Environmental Conservation say the bands help monitor migration, survival and the success of this bird in the wild. Currently, the Peregrine Falcon is on New York's endangered species list. The chicks will remain in their nest on the 19th floor of the building for another 3 weeks, until they can fly.
