The Pennsylvania capital of Harrisburg filed for municipal bankruptcy on Wednesday, according to Bloomberg.com.

According to Bloomberg, Harrisburg is the first state capital to file for municipal bankruptcy since 1980, and the largest city to do so since 2008. The Harrisburg city council voted 4-3 in favor of filing on Tuesday night, according to the report.
