FREELAND, MICHIGAN (WKBW) Meet Aiden and Brady Packer. Just 4 and 5 years old, they love hockey and love the Buffalo Sabres, despite living in Central Michigan.

A few weeks ago, during the Sabres prospect tournament in Traverse City Michigan, Michael Packer, a former Western New Yorker, took one of his sons to the game. Aiden watched and cheered, and was noticed by Kim Pegula, wife of Sabres owner Terry Pegula.

"She said to my son, we need to get you a new jersey, that's one of the old ones," Packer said.

Pegula took down Packer's information, and a few days later, two personalized jersey arrived for the boys, printed with their names and birth years.

"To see my son's eyes light up, and my other son jumped in and tried to open up the mail instead. And just the exuberance on their face, it's just a special moment I'll never forget," Packer told Eyewitness News.

Packer says he can't think of any other owner that would do something like this, cementing the fanhood of his sons in the team he grew up with as a kid.

"I want our team to hoist that cup as much as the next person, but let's not overlook everything that they're doing for the City of Buffalo and us fans," Packer said.
