Hockey met Hollywood for a night that was sure to be etched into Buffalo Sabres history!
Thousands of adoring Sabres fans packed the party in the plaza in front of the HSBC arena trying to get a snap shot of some of the greatest Sabres hockey players of the past 40 years.
New team owner, Terry Pegula spared no expense for fan appreciation night on Friday, bank rolling the trips of 80 alumni players to Buffalo. The players were treated like Hollywood royalty, driven through a sea of devoted fans in limos and escorted by security down the red carpet. Lucky fans scored pictures and autographs with the players before the game.
Once inside, the alumni players were welcomed to the ice in order of the decade they played for the team. Playoff tickets go on sale Monday.
