Buffalo, NY (WKBW)- Pastor Eric Johns of the Buffalo Dream Center will spend the Thanksgiving week living on the streets of Buffalo and Niagara Falls to help raise awareness about the need here in Western New York. From Monday, November 21st until Saturday, November 26th Johns will eat at soup kitchens and spend his days with the homeless. This is the 13th year Johns has taken to the streets for his cause in an effort to help thousands of families in need. He hopes to help draw attention to the Boxes of Love Campaign. The campaign is aimed at giving food and toys to those who need a helping hand. The boxes are then distributed throughout the holiday season at churches, organizations, and centers. The goal is to feed 3,000 families and distribute 5,000 wrapped gifts to children in need.
