Cheektowaga, NY (WKBW) - A Cheektowaga playground has a new name in memory of a five-year-old homicide victim who loved to play there.

The Isabella Sara Tennant Memorial Playground was officially dedicated Tuesday evening at Stiglmeier Park.

Family and friends came out to remember the little girl who was killed in August of 2012 at her great-grandmother's home in Niagara Falls.

It took a lot of work and furnishing to make this day a reality, and loved ones are thrilled the park is ready.

"It means the world to me and my entire family," said Deb Tennant, Bella's aunt. "And please make sure you have some ice cream, because Isabella is watching, and I know she can see us."

"She used to love the park, as a matter of fact we have a picture of her here where she's actually on the slide in this very park," said family friend Dave Pietrowski. "This is where she loved to play."

There is also a charity in Bella's memory. Bella's Tea Party gives tea sets to sick children. They have already given out dozens of sets.
