Buffalo, N.Y. (WKBW) - Authorities said a man on a bicycle has been approaching young boys near the Westminster Community Charter School. This has parents in a panic.

In two separate occasions, the man approached an eight-year old boy and 11-year-old boy. He asked if they would like to make some money. Then, the boys said that he began taking pictures of them.

"When I heard he was approaching young boys, I did get really scared," student Arkeil Gaskin said.

The first incident happened on Echols Lane in the Clinton-Jefferson area. The other incident occurred in the Kensington-Suffolk neighborhood, just steps away from the school.

The principal sent a letter home with the students informing parents that the children were not allowed to go outside. They also warned them about the security concerns. Parents think more needs to be done, including more security during and after school.

"This is something very serious. I'm not just talking for my family but for other children in the neighborhood," parent Tanisha Morrow said.

The man is described as a dark-sinned black male in his forties. Again, he approached the boys on older model silver and red bike with handle bars that are turned up.

We've also reached out to the school about any plans to increase security. No word yet about that possibility.
