State Education Commissioner John King squeezed Buffalo into his listening tour. He's traveling to more than 20 different cities across the state of New York. King will host a public forum on the common core curriculum Thursday at the WNED studios beginning at 6:00 P.M., but he's not arriving without opposition.
Some of King's harshest critics, including parents, educators and community members have already planned a protest outside. They're angry over the standardized testing plan adopted by the state and feel that they don't have a voice in this matter.
We will have more on the public forum tonight on Eyewitness News at 11:00.
