BUFFALO, NY ( WKBW ) A Spring Tuesday in Western New York quickly turned into a winter wonderland Wednesday morning.
"I hate this! I'm ready to move to Florida as soon as my husband agrees to it," Hamburg resident Pam Reilly said.
Although the snow gave many people the winter blues, others found it to be a pleasant surprise.
"This is fine. I have no problem with it. I'm sure everyone else does. It's expected it's Western New York," Lakeview resident Michael Delisle said.
The icy roads made it hard to get around in downtown Buffalo. Superintendent of Street Sanitation for the city Larry Panaro said they were prepared for the storm at the Broadway Barn.
"We are in the middle of a transition period but we do have a significant amount of equipment to go out on snow fighting duties." Panaro said.
Panaro said 22 pieces of equipment to be exact and workers hit the street even before the snow started. He said plows would be out until the storm ends.
"Snow in March is not something that is rare so it's just something that we have to deal with," Panaro said.
At the Broadway Barn, they have a good supply of salt but Panaro said they also have a reserve stash incase the snow continues into April.
"Early April I think we're going to get more snow. We're not out of the woods yet," Panaro said.
Panaro's prediction has many people saying, enough is enough.
"I don't ski, I don't skate so I just don't get the enjoyment out of it. I'm ready for spring," Reilly said.
The good news is that spring is already here and the nice weather is just around the corner.
