One Dead After Double Shooting Tuesday Night

BUFFALO, NY (WKBW/release) - Buffalo Police Homicide Detectives have arrested two individuals in connection with Tuesday night's double shooting on the City's East side that left one person dead.

Police were called to Walden Avenue and St. Louis Avenue at approximately 1145pm Tuesday night, July 20th where they found a 17-year-old male victim who was declared dead at the scene.

A second male victim in his late 20's was taken to ECMC with minor injuries.

Arrested in connection with the shootings are: 19 year old Robert Bakerx of Buffalo and 21 year old Richard Heary of Buffalo; both charged with murder in the 2nd degree and criminal possession of a weapon.

Detectives say the two victims were on foot when they were shot.

17 year old Damion Diggs of Buffalo was pronounced dead at the scene.

The second victim, 22 year old James Hairston of Buffalo, was treated and released at ECMC for a gunshot wound to the leg.

Police believe there some type of dispute that led to the shooting.
