BUFFALO, NY (WKBW) -A stretch of Buffalo's industrial area will soon transform into a tourist destination. Ohio Street between Fuhrman Boulevard and Michigan Avenue will receive a $11.3 million makeover thanks to city and federal funds. The plans include a pedestrian friendly parkway with biking tours and walking paths.
"Ohio Street will be one of the most complete streets in the City of Buffalo with vehicular access, industrial access points and bike routes," said Buffalo Mayor Byron Brown.
Construction will begin in the fall and is expected to be complete sometime in 2015.
