BUFFALO, NY (WKBW) - Buffalo Mayor Byron Brown along with Buffalo Police Commissioner Daniel Derenda appeared at a Monday morning press conference to call on the community to help catch a killer.

Derenda said that police are making progress in the investigation into the shooting spree outside the City Grill Restaurant in Downtown Buffalo early Saturday morning that killed four and wounded four others.

Sunday in court, officials dropped the charges against the man originally charged with the quadruple homicide.

In addition to a number of witnesses, police say they have surveillance footage that will help build their case as they search for a suspect.

The Mayor and Commissioner Derenda are asking the public to come forward with any information related to Saturday's crime by calling or texting the police confidential tip line at 847-2255.
